Comparison of the effectiveness of early versus delayed clozapine in the management of treatment resistant schizophrenia

This project aims to look at whether clozapine is more effective if used earlier in the course of treatment resistant schizophrenia. It will compare the outcomes of patients who start clozapine within the first 3 years, with those who do not start clozapine until later in the course of their illness.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
