Descriptive analysis of place of death and hospital admissions in the last year of life in people with mental illness in South London.

It has been suggested that people with pre-existing mental illness who have a terminal physical illness face difficulty accessing appropriate end of life services, yet there has been minimal research in this area. For service users who have died in the last few years, this study will investigate the place of death and the number and pattern of inpatient admissions in the last year of life.
