Development of a stratified treatment selection model for children & adolescent mental health services

  • Applicant: Jaime Delgadillo
  • Project ID: 26-044

This project will use anonymous health records from children and young people who received psychological treatment in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in England. The study aims to develop a computer-based prediction tool to help identify which young people are likely to need more intensive therapy at the start of treatment. Researchers will use information such as age, symptoms, previous referrals, social circumstances, and neurodiversity to train and test the model. The goal is to support earlier access to the right level of care, improve treatment outcomes, and reduce delays and unnecessary treatment changes.
