DIAMONDS is a randomised controlled trial led by University of York, for which SLaM is a research site (PI: Omar Rayner-Andrews). The DIAMONDS research programme aims to test the effectiveness of a tailored diabetes self-management intervention for people with severe mental illness, called the DIAMONDS intervention. The primary outcome will be HbA1c at 12 months post-randomisation and we will collect outcomes at baseline, 6 months, and 12 months post-randomisation. This trial will also determine the cost-effectiveness of the DIAMONDS intervention.
