Differentiation of Alzheimer’s Disease and Vascular Dementia in Mixed Dementia Patients

This study aims to investigate whether Alzheimer’s disease is underdiagnosed in mixed dementia patients. Our aim is to successfully differentiate those that have Alzheimer’s disease, or a combination of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, in order to allow them to receive access to proper treatments.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
