Do Black and Minority Ethnic Service Users Experience Inequalities in Service Use and Health Outcomes? Analysis of a Secondary Mental Health Care Case Register

This feasibility study will assess if black and minority ethnic service users with severe and enduring mental disorders are more likely to be prescribed psychotropic medication and/or experience adverse physical health outcomes relative to service users with equivalent diagnoses who self-identify as ‘white British’, and will assess ethnic group differences in cause of death.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
