Equity of Access to Psychological Therapy across a borough-wide Community Mental Health Service: An Audit of Referral and Engagement Data

The project is being undertaken because equitable access to psychological therapy is a core NHS value, yet current CMHT data has not been examined to determine whether different demographic or diagnostic groups experience disparities in referral, assessment, or engagement with psychology.
The project will audit routinely collected CMHT psychology data to compare the demographic and diagnostic characteristics of the wider caseload with those referred to, assessed by, and engaged in psychological therapy in order to identify any inequities in access.
