Examining the prevalence and clinical characteristics of psychosis in people with Alzheimer’s Disease using electronic health record data

People with Alzheimer’s Disease experience worsening memory loss over time. Some individuals may also experience psychosis where they may have unusual beliefs or see or hear strange things. In this study, we will investigate the extent to which experiencing psychosis as part of Alzheimer’s Disease leads to worse patient outcomes.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
