Exploring mental health service use among women with a history of live births
There is evidence that the prevalence of diagnosed maternal mental health problems in the UK is increasing; however, a gap in the evidence remains regarding how women with children (i.e. mothers) access mental health services over their life course, particularly after birth. This project will characterise SLaM service use and live birth trajectories for all women with a history of SLaM service use for up to 12 years following a live birth in order to better understand the trends over time of mental health service use among this population and trends in live birth interval (average time between live births).
