Exploring the Clinical and Neuroimaging Significance of Splenium Lesions Across Neurological and Psychiatric Disorders

  • Applicant: Mathilde Audry
  • Project ID: 25-018

This project will examine brain scans and health records of patients with psychiatric conditions to explore changes in a part of the brain called the corpus callosum, which connects the left and right sides of the brain. It will focus on the splenium, the back section of this structure, where areas of damage (lesions) have been observed in some patients. The aim is to understand whether these changes are linked to specific symptoms (like hallucinations or memory problems), and what this might tell us about the causes of psychiatric disorders. Let me know if this version works better.
