Extreme heat, green spaces, and mental health in people at clinical high risk for psychosis

  • Applicant: Maisie Khan
  • Project ID: 24-110

The UK is experiencing record-breaking high temperatures more frequently, but the impacts of extreme heat on mental health are under-investigated. This project aims to examine the effects of extreme heat events and air pollution on mental health outcomes, specifically looking at individuals at clinical high risk for developing psychosis. A further aim is to explore whether access to green spaces might mitigate these effects.
