General hospital use by people with mental disorders before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic

There are well-recognised concerns about disruptions to physical health care during the COVID-19 pandemic and how much these are persisting afterwards as a consequence of long waiting lists; people with mental disorders may be particularly disadvantaged. This study will use recently available linked information on hospital care to describe trends in general hospital presentations and admissions and reasons for these.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
