Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a common long-term condition that can lead to significant health complications, frequent hospital admissions, and reduced quality of life. Mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and severe mental illness are more common in people with CKD, but there is limited evidence on how CKD affects health outcomes and healthcare use among people receiving specialist mental healthcare in the UK.
