Identifying possible child sexual abuse from mental health NHS trust clinical records: a CRIS study
Rates of child sexual abuse (CSA) among people using mental health services are high, but there are a range of barriers to disclosing CSA in meetings with mental health professionals which inhibit appropriate care and support, including onward referral to specialist services. The purpose of this project is to identify how disclosure of possible CSA is recorded in mental health clinical records in order to inform future research that will aim to improve the care pathway for CSA survivors.
