By 2020, Improving Access to Psychological Therapy services need to increase access to their services to people with long-term conditions; however, little is known about what factors help or hinder people with long-term conditions from accessing mental health services. We want to identify (using CRIS) and interview patients with long-term conditions experiencing symptoms of depression and/or anxiety who attend Improving Access to Psychological Therapy services about the factors that helped or hindered their decision to attend for treatment.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
