Investigating the effect of insight on patient outcomes in psychosis and its interactions with other symptoms.

  • Applicant: Thibault Magrangeas
  • Project ID: 20-082

This project will aim to identify interactions between patient insight in psychosis and other symptoms, and the effects of this on patient prognosis. This builds on a previous project carried out last year exploring the effect of specific first-rank symptoms of schizophrenia (delusions of passivity and thought interference including insertion, broadcast and withdrawal) that revealed a significant interaction between these symptoms and patient outcomes. It is likely that this effect is mediated by patient insight into their condition, leading to the present suggested study.
