Many people find it difficult to adjust to changes following a brain injury or stroke, and often experience poor emotional adjustment and psychological distress as a result. To understand further what is related to this poor adjustment, this research will explore potential psychological mechanisms underlying poor adjustment.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
