Investigating the recording of autism in general hospitals

Autism should be recognised in healthcare settings in order that reasonable adjustments and necessary adaptations to care can be made. This study will investigate how often autism is recorded in the general hospital records of autistic people and what might factors are associated with autism being recorded.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
