Linking brain and retinal imaging for biomarkers of neurodegeneration

Reasoning: Neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders place a major burden on patients and services, yet current neuroimaging methods for early diagnosis are costly, often poorly tolerated, and limited in accessibility.

What the project will do: This project will link brain MRI, mental health and dementia records, and high-throughput retinal imaging from routine care to identify and validate accessible retinal biomarkers for earlier diagnosis and monitoring.
