  • Applicant: Marilia Calcia
  • Project ID: 19-025

Previous research has shown that people with mental health problems are at increased risk of experiencing and perpetrating DVA compared to the general population; however, qualitative research has found that mental health professionals have difficulties identifying and managing the risk of DVA perpetration among their service users. The researcher will conduct individual interviews with mental health service users to explore their experiences of relationship difficulties and the barriers and facilitators to disclosure of such difficulties to mental health staff.
