Mental health disorders and outcomes of prostate, breast and colorectal cancer

We know that cancer mortality is higher than it should be in people with mental health disorders; however, cancer occurrence appears to be relatively low and it doesn’t seem to be the case that there are delays in presentation with cancer. The worry is that quality of cancer treatment might be lower, and this study will investigate this issue in CRIS.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
