Mothers in treatment for substance use: using electronic records to understand individual and treatment characteristics associated with child care and maternal outcomes

  • Applicant: Martha Canfield
  • Project ID: 19-078

In England, there is surprisingly little empirical research involving mothers receiving treatment for substance use, and information about the relationship between substance use treatment and childcare outcomes is lacking. The proposed study will use electronic records to describe the individual and treatment characteristics of mothers attending substance use services at SLaM – and specifically to investigate the relation between these characteristics and childcare status.
