Multimorbidity Among People with Serious mental illness (MAPS) and Inequalities in recording of physical health indicators

  • Applicant: Eugenia Romano
  • Project ID: 20-056

People with severe mental illness experience poor physical health, developing several physical conditions which heavily burden both their life and the national healthcare system. Using data from CRIS and Lambeth Datanet (LDN) we will explore the grouping and risk factors for multiple long term physical health conditions in patients with severe mental illness, and examine the difference in quality of care for patients with severe mental illness compared to the general population.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
