The symptoms of Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity (ADHD) are present in increased rates in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). This finding suggests a relationship between the two disorders that has become a research interest recently. Our study is aimed at elucidating whether the ADHD symptoms in ASD share similar basis as those in ADHD alone. To achieve this, we compare young adults with diagnoses of ASD, ADHD, both conditions (ASD ADHD) and those with no diagnosis as healthy controls. We adopt the neurobehavioural approach in our investigation. We use several computerized tasks to assess different behavioural and cognitive functions, of which some will be performed within magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner.
