There is much misconception regarding the safety and effectiveness of electronic cigarettes in smoking cessation and harm reduction. This may prevent patients from switching cigarettes for electronic cigarettes which is likely to perpetuate the many problems tobacco causes for this vulnerable group. This research aims to identify the attitudes of patients regarding e-cigarettes which can be used for policy and education development.
