Safeguarding concerns in CAMHS: a qualitative study

Some young people experience potential threats to their health and development, such as abuse and neglect; these potential risks and adversities are known as “safeguarding concerns”. We will examine how safeguarding concerns are characterised in CAMHS assessments, in order to understand how mental health services, perceive and respond to young people’s social care needs.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
