Many people with psychosis (whose symptoms include hearing voices and having unusual beliefs) have had traumatic experiences, and about 15% of these individuals develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The STAR trial is investigating the effects of a trauma-focused therapy aimed at people with psychosis and PTSD.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
