Many medications used in mental healthcare and for other conditions have anticholinergic properties with side effects including dry mouth which may affect oral health.The aim of this study is to investigate the association between anticholinergic use and oral health-related hospitalisations among people with mental health problems receiving care in South London.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
