It is widely discussed that exposure during critical developmental stages, such as childhood, can have profound and long-term effects on various health outcomes in adulthood. The project will investigate the associations between risks (e.g., ‘physical abuse’) and mental disorders based on specific symptoms (e.g., ‘I felt depressed’ for depression), which could be potentially benefit for prevention and intervention of mental disorders.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
