The effects of extreme heat events on mental health in vulnerable urban communities: towards evidence-based policy and practice

  • Applicant: Lea Baecker
  • Project ID: 23-083

While the impact of extreme heat on physical health is well recognised, its effects on mental health are under-investigated. The main aim of this project is to examine the effects of extreme heat events (based on meteorological information) on mental health outcomes (based on electronic medical records). A further aim is to evaluate the mitigation of these effects by different types of public green spaces.
