The response of mental health professionals to perpetration of domestic violence and abuse: a qualitative study of clinician’s approaches to providing care

Research has shown that people with mental health problems are at increased risk of experiencing and perpetrating domestic violence and abuse compared to people without mental health problems. This study aims to examine how professionals working in mental health services identify and respond to domestic violence perpetration among service users.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
