Around 60% of people with Bipolar Disorder experience problems with attention and memory, known as cognitive impairment, which greatly affects the ability to work and hold relationships. This study measures brain and cognitive changes after participants use a drug that blocks a specific receptor in the brain, which could potentially improve cognitive impairment.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
