Treatment resistant depression in CAMHS: Examining Prevalence, Associated Characteristics and Outcomes
We know little about how often or why young people with depression do not respond to first-line treatments and go on to develop what is known as treatment-resistant depression (TRD). There is also limited research on how well TRD is recognised in real-world psychiatric care and what happens to young people who develop it. We plan to use routinely collected healthcare data to examine how common TRD is, which individual and clinical characteristics are associated with it, and the outcomes of young people who develop TRD.
