Understanding the mental health needs of mothers involved in family court cases
Parental mental illness is a common feature among families where children enter public care, yet, little is known about the types of mental health conditions these parents experience and how they use mental health services. We will link administrative public family court data to records in CRIS to examine the SLaM service use of mothers involved in public family law proceedings within the SLaM London boroughs in order to build a picture of parental healthcare needs among families who experience children’s social care intervention in England.
