Understanding the role of women's health in inpatient psychiatric care in the Borough of Lambeth

There is growing evidence of a bidirectional link between women’s health issues and mental illness, yet these factors are not routinely assessed in inpatient psychiatric settings, leaving a critical gap in care. This project will use CRIS data to examine how frequently women’s health issues are documented for women admitted to inpatient psychiatric wards.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
