Use of Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) in South London and Maudsley hospital from 2007 to 2023

Electroconvulsive therapy is one of the most effective treatments in Psychiatry and describing its usage trends helps to better characterize this treatment. This project will analyse data regarding the use of electroconvulsive therapy at SLaM between 2007 and 2023.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
