Using Real-World Data to Populate the Whole Disease Model for Schizophrenia.
Whole Disease Models (WDMs) provide a comprehensive view of the entire clinical pathway of a disease or disorder, capturing the long-term effects of interventions, such as how antipsychotic medications might increase the risk of diabetes and future healthcare needs. An existing UK WDM for schizophrenia, based on clinical trial data, may not fully reflect real-world patient demographics and care pathways. This project aims to update the schizophrenia WDM using real-world evidence from the CRIS database, ensuring the results are more relevant and impactful for patient care.
