Using routinely collected clinical data to explore the epidemiology of adverse drug effects amongst children and adolescents treated in South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

  • Applicant: Laurence Telesia
  • Project ID: 21-057

This project aims to investigate adverse drug effects (ADEs) in children and adolescents, in particular, those usually associated with antipsychotic medications. The impact of demographics such as age, sex and ethnicity as well as other factors including primary and secondary diagnoses will be analysed to determine whether certain groups are at higher risk of developing ADEs than others. The use of standardised assessment tools by clinicians in routine practice will also be investigated.
