Validation of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's neuroimaging biomarkers

Our previous research has lead to creation of a machine-learning based model (biomarker) achieving high accuracies (~93%) using MRI T1 structural data from the ADNI and the PPMI databases, for the early identification of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases (versus related disorders). As a subsequent validation stage, we now aim to run the same models in an independent sample of MRI T1 structural data from SLAM patients (Memory Clinic) with the corresponding diagnoses recorded in CRIS.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
