What are the consequences of stopping antipsychotics in dementia?

Antipsychotics prescribed for people with dementia can have severe side effects and should only be prescribed as long as necessary. We want to find out how and in which patients antipsychotics can be safely stopped without worsening people’s quality of life.

The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system is a computer system that allows researchers at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) to carry out research using information from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust clinical records.
