SLaM provides dedicated Older Adult Liaison services to the four Acute Trusts in its catchment who frequently see medical/surgical inpatients who are socially isolated and lonely, but there are no specific interventions or services on offer for this. This study will investigate the association between recorded loneliness and hospital outcomes (particularly readmissions) in this group.<br/>
